Hotel Bent
Our goal is enjoyment without harming nature and animals and staying in comfort and luxury
Our story
Hotel Bent is owned by activist writer, playwright and godmother of Social Sofa, Karin Bruers. Together with her daughters, they built this special project and manage it with passion. What makes our hotel special is our “glamour activism”: activities through which we seek to bring change and awareness to the environment and animal welfare. We show that you can brick just as beautifully with used bricks as with new, that second-hand roof tiles can also keep your building dry, and that discarded balconies can still serve well and gracefully. You can pave beautifully with leftover bricks collected through social media. Everything needed to build can be found in your own town and villages around you. Moreover, we show that you don’t need animals to eat delicious food. Our goal was to construct the most sustainable building possible with a minimal ecological footprint. We succeeded in this, the building was built in 0-emission and also try to operate it in 0-emission as much as possible. In these chaotic times of climate crisis, our hotel is an oasis of sustainability, hospitality, luxury and comfort.
Enough written about it now, just come and experience it.
